Dairy Diplomats
"Promoting pride in dairy products"
The United Dairy Industry of Michigan (UDIM) recognizes there are opportunities to improve milk consumption in many different settings. The purpose of the DairyDiplomat program is to increase dairy product sales through a network of volunteers servicing Michigan communities. UDIM provides resources and training to support this grass roots program.
We believe that every person from a dairy farm family that encourages their neighbors, friends or other people in their community to consume dairy products is a Dairy Diplomat.
The Dairy Diplomat Committee (DDC), in cooperation with UDIM staff, guides the Dairy Diplomat program. Twenty motivated dairy farm volunteers serve on the DDC. They meet to review and select resource materials for dairy promotion activities. The DDC designs an annual dairy
product-training seminar for members of the Michigan dairy farm community. They work to ensure resources compliment our national promotion objectives because it’s important that we all deliver the same good message to consumers. Committee members also coordinate volunteer groups for selected events and enjoy opportunities to work with other enthusiastic dairy product promoters.
